GPR Scanning Services — Texas
Ground-penetrating radar for utility locating, concrete scanning, pre-bore screening, and subsurface investigation. We tell you what's there before you break ground.
What GPR Scanning Is Used For
Private utility locating for commercial construction, utility coordination, and preconstruction planning across Texas.
Concrete scanning before drilling, coring, trenching, or saw cutting to identify rebar, post-tension cable, and embedded conduit.
Pre-bore utility screening for HDD and directional drilling projects where incomplete utility records create risk.
Subsurface investigation for unknown buried infrastructure, void detection, and utility conflict identification before excavation.
How GPR Works — and Where It Has Limits
GPR transmits radar pulses into the ground or concrete. Reflections are interpreted in the field to identify buried utilities, rebar, voids, and subsurface features.
GPR is not an X-ray and does not guarantee every utility will be visible. Clay soils, depth, saturation, reinforcement density, and utility material all affect results.
For critical crossings or exact depth verification, potholing remains the definitive method.
